Faculty Overview: 

  • The Faculty of Information Technology 1 (FIT1) is one of the leading academic units of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT). With an enrollment of more than 5,000 students, the Faculty provides high-quality education in a broad spectrum of core Information Technology disciplines, including Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Systems, and Computer Engineering, among others.

  • By 2030, the Faculty of Information Technology 1 aims to become a leading center for education and research in Information Technology in Vietnam, with recognized excellence across Southeast Asia. The Faculty is dedicated to creating an advanced academic environment that fosters innovation, applied research, and technology transfer in strategic fields such as Data Science, Software Engineering, and Intelligent Systems, while contributing to PTIT’s vision of becoming one of Asia’s leading universities in digital technology.

Faculty Functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Organize education, scientific research, and technology transfer activities in the field of Information Technology in alignment with the Institute’s strategic orientation and the needs of society.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Information Technology that meet national and international quality standards.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, supervise and mentor students, ensure academic quality, and provide comprehensive student support in learning, research, internships, and career development.
  • Conduct scientific research, promote technological innovation, and strengthen international collaboration with industry partners, research institutions, and universities.
